“Hi, my name is Ella and I came to Walker’s in eighth grade. Being a Cicerone is important to me because I am one of the first impressions of the school and I love to show prospective families all about the amazing things Walker’s has! My goal as a Cicerone is to provide information and make prospective families feel welcome!”
My favorite class is math because I love problem-solving and using that part of my brain. But I also love how there is only one right answer!
In eighth grade I had to do dance as a class. I never thought I would have to do dance with all my classmates, but it ended up being so fun and such a unique experience, given I am not a dancer.
I look forward to seeing my friends and teachers every day!
Get involved with everything Walker’s has to offer. Put yourself out there — it’s okay to be uncomfortable and not perfect at everything you do!
I think the biggest benefit is that you have many more opportunities and you can try something you would never be able to do elsewhere. Another thing is that you get very close with your classmates and teachers with small class sizes.
To say the least I am definitely more social and will put myself out there. My first day at Walker’s I was nervous to talk to people I didn’t know and to try new things, but being here for my third year now, I will involve myself in anything and talk a lot.
I think Walker’s has prepared me for my future by challenging me with my academics and helping me take the best classes that I can. Also I think Walker’s has prepared me for the future by getting me involved in the community, such as Spirit Horse and Horizons.
My favorite thing to do in my free time is hang out with my friends in the Soc!
