“Hi! My name Is Valarie-Lynn (Val) and I entered Walker’s in 6th grade as a day student and became a middle school boarder my 8th grade year. I think being a Cicerone is a very important role because we are the first faces perceptive families meet. Having students work in the Admission Office makes the experience more personal and less stressful. When you come on a tour with me my goal is to share my true experience, show my love for the campus, be personable, and answer any question you might have. Lastly, I wish everyone at Walker’s could come see and learn about out sisterhood.”

What is your favorite part of your typical day at Walker’s? What do you look forward to every day?

My favorite part of the day would have to be dinner or athletics. Most of my friends participate in the same sports as I do and we are able to challenge ourselves together and then laugh at dinner.

What advice would you give to an incoming Walker’s student?

Walker’s has a lot of opportunities to offer. It may be overwhelming and scary to try but in the end it will be worth it.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

My favorite thing to do in my free time would have to be hanging out with my advisor in her office or practicing step routines in the dance studios. After study hall I also enjoy going to other dorms to hang out with friends.
